Studio Policies


  • We ask that clients in their 2nd trimester of pregnancy attend Level 1 classes. For the safety of our clients, women in their 3rd trimester of pregnancy are asked to attend private sessions instead of group classes.

  • Please let your instructor know if you have any injuries or conditions so that instructors can provide modifications to exercises to meet your unique needs. Clients with significant injuries or chronic conditions are asked to begin with a private session. Upon instructor approval, the client can then begin group classes at an appropriate level. 

  • Any cancellations made within 12 hours of the scheduled class will be assessed at $10 late cancellation fee.

Pilates Mat 101

 
 

A beginner level Mat class focusing on the Pilates basics and core stability.

Pilates Mat 101 is a perfect introductory Pilates class. We will focus on the Pilates Principles and the classic mat sequence. We will learn the benefits of Breathing in Pilates Movement. This class will help develop a strong inner core while helping sculpt long, lean muscles. This class is perfect for a new Pilates student.

**Please let our instructors know if you have any injuries or conditions so that our instructors can provide modifications to exercises to meet your unique needs.


Level 1 Reformer Pilates

A beginner level Reformer class focusing on the Pilates basics and core stability.

In this class we will take you through basic reformer exercises and get you acquainted with the equipment. Focusing on the Pilates Principles, you will learn how to engage and move through exercises with proper form and alignment for a full-body workout. Great for those who are new to Pilates but challenging enough for experienced students looking to refine their skills and focus on the basics.

Level 2 Reformer Pilates

An intermediate level class for those comfortable with the Pilates basics and Level 1 Reformer. Moving at a faster pace, Level 2 Reformer adds more challenging exercises to work the body and mind for a full- body workout.

** Not for 1st time Reformer clients or clients with injuries

** 5 beginner/ Level 1 Reformer classes recommended before attending an intermediate level class


Level 3 Reformer Pilates

An advanced level class for clients who have extensive experience with Pilates and have mastered the intermediate level. If you want a challenge and have been doing Pilates for years, this is the class for you!

** Not for 1st time Reformer clients

** Not for clients who are injured or pregnant

Reformer: AAA (Arms, Abs, A**)

Reformer: ABA (Arms, Back, Abs)

Intermediate level classes focused on toning, sculpting and strengthening specific areas of the body.

** Not for 1st time Reformer clients or clients with injuries.

** 5 beginner/ Level 1 Reformer classes recommended before attending an intermediate level class


Pilates Power Lunch

An intermediate level class designed for those who want to get their workout in on their lunch hour! Power Lunch classes get you movin’ and groovin’ with challenging exercises to work the body and mind for a full- body workout in 45 minutes!

** Not for 1st time Reformer clients or clients with injuries

** 5 beginner/ Level 1 Reformer classes recommended before attending an intermediate level class



Pilates Mixed Equipment

An intermediate level class utilizing multiple pieces of Pilates equipment (Reformer, Wunda Chair, Mat, etc. ) and props for a fun, challenging, full-body workout!  

** Not for 1st time Reformer clients

**Not for clients who are injured or pregnant

** 5 beginner/ Level 1 Reformer classes recommended before attending an intermediate level class


Pilates Circuit Classes

An energetic, intermediate level class incorporating multiple pieces of Pilates equipment (Reformer, Wunda Chair, Mat, etc. )to challenge the mind and body! This class will help you through a mental plateau as circuit training combats boredom and shifts neuromuscular patterns. Pilates Circuit will give you a full-body workout in a fun and challenging way!

**5 beginner/Level 1 Reformer Pilates classes recommended before attending an intermediate level class.


Corecentric

An intermediate level class devoted entirely to your core! Great for those who like to move at a faster pace, and want to work hard! If you enjoy planks and teasers, this class is for you!

**5 beginner/Level 1 Reformer Pilates classes recommended before attending an intermediate level class.


Pilates Cardio Jump Board

Cardio, the Pilates way! The Pilates Jump Board is a padded board that replaces the foot bar on a Pilates Reformer. This unique piece of equipment makes it possible to have a safe and low impact cardio workout on the Pilates Reformer. Cardio Jump Board classes combine intervals of toning and cardio for a full-body workout and effective caloric burn!

**5 Level 1 Reformer Pilates classes recommended before attending. 


Pilates Stretch

An open level class devoted to stretching, releasing and lengthening. Pilates Stretch blends active and static stretches and myofascial release with optional challenges to move into deeper release. Work to restore alignment, flexibility, strength, balance and stability using the reformer and various props with light intensity and moderate flow.

**May not be suitable for clients who are injured or pregnant.


Barre Mixed Level

Mixed level class with a focus on proper alignment and controlled movements brought on by deep muscle engagement. In each class we will work every muscle to fatigue at the barre and on the mat using light weights and props. Each exercise is followed up with a targeted stretch to tone, lengthen, and create flexibility for the entire body.


PiYo: Yoga/ Pilates Fusion

Add a little yoga to your Pilates practice! PiYo Fusion is an open level mat class with creative yoga flows combining core exercises that target the entire body.


Private Appointments

A private 50 minute session with an Instructor who will complete a postural assessment, work on target areas, and help you work toward your goals.  Available for individuals, duets, trios, and quads.  Please email marathon@marathonpilates.com to book.


Private Group Classes

Designed for small groups of clients who want to get a great workout together in a private class. Led by a Marathon Pilates Instructor, Private Group Classes are ideal for team-building events for organizations, celebrating special occasions, or simply getting friends together for a private Pilates class.
